"Love Your Life" Valentine's Gala 2009 - A Fun and Successful Evening!
Saturday, February 14, 2009, marked Hopewell’s inaugural “Love Your Life” Valentine’s Gala. With over 200 people attending the event, more than $10,000 was raised for Hopewell, Eastern Ontario’s only eating disorder support centre.

OTTAWA – Ontario eating disorder support agencies, Hopewell (Ottawa), Sheena’s Place (Toronto), Danielle’s Place (Burlington) and Hope’s Garden (London) feel strongly that the Nintendo WiiFit does not support healthy body image.

GWEN COWLEY
Gwen joined Hopewell as a student placement in Winter of 2009. Gwen helped to organize and facilitate events during Eating Disorder Awareness Week. She then became trained to delivery Hopewell's outreach presenation to local high schools. This summer she plans on continuing her volunteer work with us by helping out with the HOPE Volleyball Summerfest.
