The End of Overeating: Taking Control of the Insatiable North American Appetite

Doctor David Kessler was the commissioner of the United States Food and Drug Administration under Presidents George Bush Senior and Bill Clinton. On his watch, the FDA brought in standardized ingredient and nutritional labels for packaged foods.

In a new book, Doctor Kessler thinks he has come a long way in understanding why so many of us can't seem to control our impulses when it comes to food. The book is called "The End of Overeating: Taking Control of the Insatiable North American Appetite" and David Kessler was in studio at CBC on The Current.
